About us

DIE CASTING

Die casting is a manufacturing process in which molten metal is poured or forced into steel molds. The molds—also known as tools or dies—are created using steel and are specially designed for each project. This allows each component to be created with accuracy and repeatability. Aluminum, zinc, and magnesium are the most commonly used die casting alloys

Duplex manufacturing process

All the processes are that we can come up with professional ideas when we see the samples, and we can propose different ways of processing when we see the design drawings, all of which is the accumulation of experience

Perfect finished product

Lianfeng Company has pursued long-term cooperation with customers. We have more than 30 years of die-casting technology, and we are constantly seeking new developments to cooperate with customers to develop and produce products, and continuously improve and learn to meet customer requirements

Die Casting Introduction

DIE CASTING ADVANTAGES

Die casting can have significant advantages over other manufacturing processes, which often lead to major cost savings, not only in the part price itself but also in the overall cost of production.

When you cast a part, you can create complex net shapes, including external threads and complex internal features with minimal draft angles—minimizing secondary operations. You can also combine multiple parts into a single part, eliminating assembly operations and lowering labor costs, with the added benefits of simplified stock control and greater component consistency

Other benefits include:

  • Variable wall thicknesses
  • Tighter tolerances
  • Fewer steps from raw material to finished part
  • Fast production cycle times
  • Reduction in material scrap
  • Long tool life, especially for zinc and magnesium

DIE CASTING ALLOYS

Zinc, aluminum, and magnesium are the three main die casting alloys. They are normally non-ferrous and their mechanical properties vary greatly to fit almost every type of application a manufacturer may need. Not only can die cast alloys withstand high operating temperatures, but they are also fully recyclable

THE MAIN ADVANTAGE

Compared to other manufacturing processes, the die-casting manufacturing method has significant advantages, which can save considerable cost, not only the price of the part itself but also the overall cost of production. When casting parts, you can design complex and precise shapes, including external threads and complex internal functions with minimal draft angles, thus minimizing the chance of secondary machining. You can also consolidate multiple parts into a single part, eliminating assembly and labor costs while simplifying inventory control and improving part consistency

DIE CAST ALLOYS ALSO HAVE

  • Good corrosion resistance
  • High strength and hardness
  • High thermal conductivity
  • High electrical conductivity
  • Outstanding EMI/RFI shielding properties
  • Good finishing characteristics
Separately, each die cast alloy offers a variety of benefits that the other may not offer. That is one of the great things about die casting, you do not have to be limited when it comes to choosing the right metal

Die-Casting Principle

Die-casting principle : A casting method that fills molten alloy liquid of metals with good melting properties such as aluminum, zinc, magnesium and copper into the metallic molds (heat-resistant steel) with a quick and high-pressure machine and the molten liquid quickly solidifies to form by the steel moulds having lower temperature.
Features of die-casting method : High production, good size accuracy, less post-processing, smooth casting surface, high mechanical strength and can be fabricated to thin castings

LIANFENG METAL DIE CASTING CO., LTD.

The company’s main liquid type forming is die casting. Die casting is injecting metals with better melting and solidifying properties, such as aluminum, zinc, magnesium, and copper alloys into heat resistant steel molds using high injection pressure. With the lower temperature of the mold, the molten metal solidifies quickly and forms parts as a shape of the cavity. After solidifying, the runners/gates are removed and raw parts are produced.
